Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just got my first 911 in December. A 2002 C2 6-speed with PSM. I love it!!! It is in need of some tires though. It came with BBS 7.5-18 50 fronts & 10-18 65 rears. Im looking at the Potenza Sport 225/40-18 & 285/35-18. I get a really good discount on Bridgestones & Firestones. Will the 285/35-18 mess with the electronics or the handling? Is it worth paying twice as much for PS4Ss that are the right size?

POST 2Original post

Yes, you will have issues. When I got my 996 (99 MY C2 with TC only) It had those wheel sizes and 225/40 F but non-matching 265/40 R. I had no engine braking when coasting in gear. Several threads on the subject here, one is https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...but-why-2.html MSR explained https://www.tuningblog.eu/en/tipps_t...gelung-267465/

POST 3Original post

OP - 275/35 Potenza Sport will work fine. I have those for my rears. Very good DE tire for a 300 TW.
