Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

With my transmission out, I noticed a pipe with n open end and no evidence of any other line or hose leading from it. Can anyone confirm what this line is for and if/where it is suppose to terminate? It comes from the front end... It then curves up to above the transmission... Then continues rearwards between the coolant pipes before terminating above the front part of the transmission area, but open ended which doesn't seem right. Thanks.

Vent pipe for Carbon Canister/fuel tank.... Just make sure no "Dirt-Dobber" likes the end of the pipe......

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ah, thank you. Is it suppose to just terminate like that, without any kind of cover, shield or debris protection?
