Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do you have a totally scrapped, blown 996 or Boxster engine? Do you want it out of your garage? If so, please send me a PM - I'm looking at making a table out of an M96 engine - similar to the Top Gear V12 table. As such, I'll be up front in saying that I'm not looking to pay very much for it. If your engine is rebuildable or has a potential future life, then it probably will be worth more than I want to pay

I always thought this would be cool: 928 engine http://www.ebay.com/itm/81-82-Porsch...ZYi7ZL&vxp=mtr

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Funny you mention the 928, as I have a lead on a 928 engine too - but have to pick it up and it's 1000 miles away. If it's still there this summer I'll pick it up.

POST 4Original post

A 32V could be cooler: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-928s...9T4GFS&vxp=mtr

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah but both of those are legitimate engines that could still be used. I would never kill an engine just for the sake of art
