Hi, Do you know what this M193 Version for Japan means, aside from the lights specced for driving on the left side of the road? Are there any other changes to the "regular" German spec? Thank you, Jacek

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Jacek, This is my guess coupled with my knowledge of the region codes in general. So, fair warning, this is not an official answer. Japan has codes: C08 Japan (LHD) C18 Japan (RHD) This is because it is legal to drive on both sides of the car in Japan, so long as you stay on the left side of the road. Any car fan who has been to Japan will tell you that it's common to see LHD imports on the road, especially on prestige or collector automobiles. It's really popular within their car culture to keep things "authentic." My guess is that code 193 is a regional catchall code to ensure that dash units are Metric and all emergency stickers, manuals, warranty books, etc. have a Japanese translation on them. Code 193 is most definitely paired with C08 or C18 on the options sticker, somewhere, to determine the side of the car the wheel & pedals are on. Again, I don't know about M193 specifically, but I'm aware of the other two codes and that is what makes sense to me. We don't have a lot of Japanese members so far as I'm aware of on these boards so people's guesses may be the closest we come to cracking this. Good luck!
