Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, both of my door speakers are inoperative. I have functioning dash and rear speakers bilaterally. It is a 2001 turbo with the PCM and six disc changer. It does not have Bose or Most fiber optic systems. Any suggestions on where to start tracking this down? Im not much of a stereo guru fyi.

full disclosure not a stereo guru. But when 2 things like this go bad at once i like to think about whether or not a common ground they share became disrupted. Did you take anything apart recently ? The other thing i would ask is whether or not the door speakers share an amplifier that is distinct from what drives the other speakers.
