Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 01 that needs a pair cat converter. $1100 for a pair from Magna flow. Please let me know if you have an used pair tucked away in your garage. Thanks d

POST 2Original post

I have a set of 200 cell HJS cats that have been welded into a stock 996 cat assembly.

POST 3Original post

That is the smart solution imho. It is totally non Smog-legal but 100% Enviro-friendly and economically sensible. Just don't get an "Equipment Violation" in California ! If you can find a muffler shop on the 'wrong side of the tracks' ,they may fabricate it for you at the right price- cash !

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I read it somewhere that the 200 cell cat will not pass California smog test

POST 5Original post

I'll be selling my set if you want to buy it but I was not aware 200 cell would not pass CA smog test. I only have about 3K miles on them but I am upgrading my 996 with a 997 3.8 and going with a completely custom exhaust so I need to unload them.
