Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Y'all, curious to find out the weight distribution of the 996 Carrera (convertible if possible) 2001, manual 6? Front to rear, and per wheel. Can't find anything remotely relevant on the subject. I am guessing the car weights about 3142lbs but how is it distributed on the wheels? 2001 Porsche 996 Convertible 2015 VW TDI Sportwagen 2017 VW TDI Passat Wagen

POST 2Original post

Here is my coupe. Has race seats, half cage and no rear seats. Also a mezger drivetrain (about 100lbs more) and a 200lb driver. Its about 38/62.

POST 3Original post

OP - This is a good sample for what a C2 .1 or .2 should tally out to. This is from a post abossana left a couple years back.

POST 4Original post

From the 996.2 owner's manual: Cabriolet Empty weight (depending on equipment) Manual transmission 3197 Ibs. to 3394 Ibs. Tiptronic 5 3318 Ibs. to 3516 Ibs. Good guesstimate for weight distribution for a 2wd car is 38% F / 62% R

POST 5Original post

Here's my '02 c2 cab 6mt with 200lbs of cat litter in the front seat. Sorry, it's in kg's. Below is the translation. 63% on the rear.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

First, thank you for the responses. second, while looking for tires specifications, I found a sticker on the driver door related to weight Front vs Rear. So, other than weight per wheel, the answer is located on the door😎
