Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, I'm looking at the parts PDF catalogue for the 996 and I can see that there's only four headlight part numbers for the 996.2. Two for halogen and Two for M492 option or Xenon. 996 631 055/056 for L/R halogen and 996 631 065/066 for L/R Xenon. There's no remarking in the PDF indicating that there's separate part numbers for /LL or /RL So can I infer from this that the car's electronics handles the alignment? or is there indeed a difference in the alignment of the reflectors? Or is there some internal screw/adjustment required. Thanks Justin

Yes, they are. https://www.royalincarparts.com/wp-c...E8-700x412.jpg

Thanks. I agree there's a difference. Perhaps I wasn't clear in my posting. Is the difference controlled by electronics (moving the lens) or from some internal screw/adjuster. Because there's no part number differences.
