Hey ya'll, I'm looking for the length of the adjustable front drop links from the like of Tarret/SPL/etc. Does anyone have a measurement or idea of their length they could share? Thanks!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Tarett has mutiple lengths available. So u know what range u r looking for, stock or for coilovers? They might know what would fit if u call them, i usually talk with Ira.
I have Tarett on my 996, but I’m uncertain of the range of adjustment. https://www.vividracing.com/-p-151379744.html I had SPL and had one break on me. In my opinion, the Tarett are stronger/better made.

If a piece of straight metal between two ball joints breaks, it is due to A. the bearings are rotated beyond their angular range B. The compression force is higher than the buckling limit of the straight piece. Either are simple enough to design for and it is shocking to me to see such a failure Cant help but think SPL had no clue what they were doing when they cobbled up two rose joints and a piece of hex alloy rod, turned on a lathe.... I see the front drop link broke. Where you cornering at the limit and were you able to catch the rear stepping out?
I was cornering when it broke, and the pop was very loud. It was a low speed turn, not even close to the limit, so the rear end stayed where it belonged.
I appreciate the info guys. I'm looking for the length to build my own drop links when I install my Feal coilovers, just looking for the ballpark size needed when lowering.

I'm in the same boat right now w/r Feal coilovers. How are you liking them? Did you ever figure out the lengths you need? The stock rears are about 100mm. I'm thinking a length of 120-140 (adjustment range) would probably work on the rears. (I lowered all four corners about 25mm.)
