Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi. Fitting 996 seats into a vw beetle. Can anyone tell me if the cu relay under the seat controls when the seat reaches temperature and shuts the power off? aftermarket single pole switches are being used on the build and I have non of the porsche loom so will be making that myself. Thanks

POST 2Original post

What is the difference between a VW German Beetle and a "VW German *look* Beetle"? Please post pics.

POST 3Original post

Quotes source post: 13861853

German "Look" is a custom style bug with its roots in Germany. For example the "Cal Look" has it's roots in southern California.

POST 4Original post

Wouldn't all VW Bugs have German roots? Or, is that the customization is by German specialized shops? I get the "Cali Look", and would understand if it had other regional looks like a "Texas Shooter Special" or "Puerto Rican Canoe", but don't you find it a little odd that since the VW bug is made in Germany and is a German car, that calling it a "German Look" may be a bit confusing?... About like saying the "Chevrolet American *look* Camaro"?

Aircooled - Sorry I'm no help in answering your question. But, good luck with your build. Would be cool to see some pics at some point when you get close to completion.
