I was told this was removed from a 2004 996 Turbo Cab. At first, I thought it was out of a Boxster but it is a different design (2 feet vs 4 and hoop integration) than the 986 bar. Any ideas? I can't find a part number on it. Thanks in advance.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

To me it looks like a modified 986 rollbar.

Look at the back side, no welds.

987 is different.
[QUOTE=pputkowski;20347892]987 is different./QUOTE] Well at least we know its not from a 944. I've never seen a bar like that in any carrera. Aftermarket?
It sure looks like an OEM piece in terms of fit and finish.
The more I look at it the more I see 986. That’s what I’m going to stick with. Front mounting feet have been cut on the inside by the bolt holes. Threaded holes on the outside of the tube just above the feet. Center weld where the wind deflector would sit. Seems pretty well done on welding, grinding, and filling.
