hi folks, have some dampness in the bottom of drivers door - I suspect the door membrane has failed or has been disturbed, haven't looked yet but want to replace them anyway if I'm to pull door cards off. Does anyone have the part number for membranes for a coupe to hand? Cheers!

^^ Correct. There are different door membranes depending on speakers installed. See diagram. http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=807-10 Also, get the sealing cord. That is the sticky stuff that seals the membrane to the door Rubber Seal Strip - Genuine Porsche G00004310100
You have the part numbers. As these cars age after a rain or a wash the door bottoms need to be checked. Any dampness is (probably) a sign the door membrane is failing. (The other source of damp door can be the window seals that seal the glass at the top edge of the door are leaking but these fail much less frequently than the door membranes I'm told.) The membranes age and come loose. Went through this -- leaking door membranes -- with my 2002 Boxster recently (within the last couple of months) -- and properly working door membranes make all the difference between a dry door bottom and a damp (try sopping wet) door bottom. This is not a place to try to get by on the cheap. A re-seal was tried in the case of my Boxster and it didn't last but a few months and a replacement was required.
