Howdy, This is my first 911 and Porsche, so I really have very little in the way of institutional knowledge. I've started digging through the forum, and am a member of the local PCA club, so there are plenty of gurus I can pester for advice. Picked it up from a dealer in Indiana for a good price. Just got delivered off afternoon. 168k miles on the clock, and the engine feels really strong. Stock exhaust is kinda underwhelming though. Should be an easy fix. Couple odds and ends weren't working after delivery, but they are relatively minor so far. Overall I think it'll be a fun ride. I'll get it up on a lift this week and see how things look underneath. See ya round

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

NIce. Love that color combo!
Welcome and congrats! I have had mine for almost a year and absolutely love the thing. I am about to put on the muffler deleted to give it the roar I want instead of the purr all the time.
Congrats on the new ride and "Welcome to the Party Pal" Rich
Ohhhhhhh yeah! Love the color combo! Welcome, my first was a 99 Midnight blue metallic Aero. Miss her everyday!
Gorgeous car. Congrats, Tom!
beautiful car, enjoy & welcome
funny story from today. Horn isn't working and I was going through some of the causes on RL. The fuse was missing, so I replaced that. It beeped quickly and then nothing else. Took the car downtown for the day, and as we were pulled up to the curb to pick up my wife, and the horn starts blaring. So much so I thought it was a truck honking at me. All eyes honed in on the ahole in the 911 laying on his horn annoying everyone as I struggled to pull over safely and remove the fuse cover and pull the fuse out. My wife and family could not stop laughing. Good news is I think that narrows it to the bushings on the horn bracket. Tomorrow's project.
Very nice. Good luck with it. Your headlights look modified to me. Could just be the angle.

good eye. There were not on the build sticker, but they are xenons. Not sure yet if they are OEM.

looks OEM to me. My aero car did not come with xenons either, but I negotiated them into the purchase
Nice car! Love the wheels!! The OEM Xenons came with headlight washers, but someone might have "deleted" them. We deleted the washers on our 996 aero for aesthetics and "weight savings"
Welcome and congrats on the new car. I like that interior! You have lots of exhaust options from really cheap to $$$$$. I'm sure you can find one you like.
Nice! Good luck with it
Very nice 996. Love the aero and color combo. Horn is an easy fix - My 993 original wheel suffered the same fate.
MK1 Xenons are plug and play from non optioned cars. Only thing that will not work is the auto leveler. The easiest and quickest way to check.. bounce the front end of the car with lights on. Nice color combo. Miss my old MK1 aero.
I saw that car for sale. Great buy. Cant remeber if it had the LSD. I remember the car had nice interior options.
If you don't mind me asking, what did you pick it up for?
