Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone. I am planning on purchasing a metropol blue center console from Suncoast Porsche. It's my car's OEM interior color. My questions is has anyone placed a layer of protective film or sprayed a lacquer as a way to preserve the finish. I'm on my second console and find that the finish just doesn't hold up. Not interested in leather or carbon fiber. Others have painted the console the color of the exterior but I'm interested in keeping the look original (not white). Thanks and cheers!

POST 2Original post

Try a can of gloss clear from Automotive Touchup. That will add a good coat of protection to it.

POST 3Original post

What about Xpel? if its good enough for the exterior it should hold up on the interior

POST 4Original post

People have vinyl wrapped their consoles, so Xpel might work.
