Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

it only has one mark, a K. Compared to another OEM one. car is a 99 996 with 164k miles.

POST 2Original post

That's KK's homemade solution version 2.0. The other "K" must have rubbed off. Lasted a whole lot longer than the first one.

POST 3Original post

99 will be the dual row bearing if it’s standard, if it’s gone that far leave it alone, lock engine in TDC, pull the cam chain tensioners before you remove the ims flange, once flange is off, pop the bearing seal off carefully with a small pick, this will let better oil inside to help it go on longer!
