Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

From scratched up gray to body color with a shaky can. Lot's of hand work, but well worth it. Pick up a spare unit, strip it with lacquer thinner and scrunge pads. Order some custom color shaky cans online. I chose to leave the texture and coat with clear flat. You may want to sand, sand, and sand some more to make it all shiny and OEM looking.

POST 3Original post

Nice job, did the same thing myself. picked up some donor parts from here on Rennlist, sanded down and rattle can painted to match exterior. Turned out perfect. Also did radio bezel.

POST 4Original post

Very nice MrZ! I just painted my center, batwing and horseshoe last month. I also opted for the more muted 'interior' sheen, versus the exterior perfect gloss. I also pulled the backing plate off the e-brake and painted it seal gray. You may or may not like that much contrast against the gray. The prep sanding was very mind-numbing, but I then fully enjoyed the paint process. That blue is sweet!

POST 5Original post

Looks great. Nice job wrapping the E-brake lever. There is no way to remove/install the console without scraping it up.

POST 6Original post

I did mine with Plasti Dip this year. Highly recommended.
