Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

We've some family visiting this week so this morning I took my nephews out to Cars and Coffee. Many Boxsters, Caymans, 997s and 991s but I only spotted two 996s - anyone on here? A beautiful (Lapis?) blue / Savannah C2 and another Millennium (#205), turbocharged and, according to the owner, putting out around 400hp. A block away from home my nine year old nephew barfed in my car. Thankfully 99% of the first wave ended up on his clothes; and the second through sixth waves waited until after I'd pulled over so went down a convenient storm drain. Gave me motivation to Gliptone my interior, though.

POST 2Original post

No worries I had a six pack of coronas sitting in the back seat slammed on the brakes cause a ****** cut me off and two broke. Now my car smells like jimmy buffets tour bus.

POST 3Original post

Went to a Cruise In today at a local Brew Pub. Here are pictures of my car, a friends 993 and another friends ratrod.

POST 4Original post

Ah, kids. Barfed in the uncles 996. Good news is you'll have that story on him for the rest of his life At least it's not on the Carfax.

POST 5Original post

RDL - Nice pics. Your car looks great. I don't care what the market values are, I'd take your car over your buddy's 993 any day. That Boxster's orange paint is pretty cool also. BTW, I see a cop car in the background. I'm going to make a point of telling the cops I see how much I appreciate their service.

POST 6Original post

KC, Out of the 30 plus cars at the event there were (5) 996 models. A friend called me today to tell me he had several people make comments to liking my car quite a bit, even more than the 993 or 997's. It's great to hear all the positive comments on a car that was so maligned through the years. The Dark Blue with Aero kit seams to strike a favorable chord. I think most people would agree it is only slightly better than the Guards Red Turbo.
