POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello guys, after following this amazing forum for quite some week I wanted to ask this finally: Is there anyone with a 996 C2 Cab with the Mk1 Aqerokit? For me it's really tempting getting it. I would get the whole i.e.: front bumper, side skirts and gt3 taco spoiler. Would there be any problems concerning stability on a cab? Because the roof isn't as firm as the coupe's one. Thank you

POST 2Original post

You will be able to get everything but the rear taco spoiler. This won't clear the convertible top operation. Porsche made a different rear aero wing for Vert models. Some coupes have these as well from the factory.

Thank you very much for mentioning this issue with the original aero kit taco spoiler, i didn't know it before. But I have been lucky and just found this miracle: https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/...4-p-32413.html What do you think? Although there aren't any air vents... Is that a problem? Does the original taco spoiler have any vents? So i did some homework and found this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-cabrio-2.html and some other websites: http://misha911.com/gallery/996/996_..._on_Black1.htm http://nrauto.com/product/porsche-99...t2-wing-blade/

I've seen the replica vert taco version before and some like it and some don't. From a pure aesthetics perspective, everyone will have an opinion and you should go it what you like if looks are the only thing you're after. If you're after actual aero function, I would try to stick to the OEM or aftermarket Porsche Vert style spoiler. Misha's on NB verts don't really seem to fit the overall look that much as it over powers everything else IMO. Yes, all original Porsche spoilers have vents in them. You definitely need venting back there. I would not get one that doesn't have vents.

Totally agree with you on the GT2 wing, it really overpowers the car, thank you very much for all your good answers! Another question, i was just look on vividracings website for the aero parts: there are front bumper covers and front bumpers. The cover is the plastic part, that one usually refers to when you made a dent or something like that, right? But what do i need now for my 996 Carrera 2? aero front bumper cover only or the whole front bumper? Thank you in advance

POST 6Original post

Usually bumper cover and bumper terminology is intermixed and means the same thing in an aftermarket sense. I would really think about getting polyurethane parts, especially if you plan to lower it or drive anywhere with a ramp/steep driveways. The front aero bumper scrapes pretty easily since it sticks out quite a bit forwards from the wheels.
