Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So Wicked is selling 997 GT2's now.... these guys have no shame.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...3719QQtcZphoto

POST 3Original post

I like the "custom" interior. It sort of has that retro look.... kinda like a 996 interior!

POST 4Original post

They had to put the badge on the decklid didn't they

POST 5Original post

A lot of their ebay stuff has salvage titles. But even for the ones that don't, you've got to figure they've been in some type of accident or have a questionable past. Otherwise it's simply not possible to do that type of work and still make money off of it. Their cars are always interesting to me to look at. They're basically cobbled together from a mixture of old and new parts covered with a body kit and paint. The steering wheel has the patina of age but the shifter is new. Or the door trim is new but the seats are worn. Nothing quite looks right on these things.

POST 6Original post

Look i dont mind ppl converting their cars to look like something else (cough POSER cough) but please leave the F@#$ING BADGE OUT!! Looks pretty real from outside tho...

POST 7Original post

As far as exterior goes, mirrors and door handles easily gave it away.

yea let a person who does not know anythign about a porsche figure that out... 9/10 times ppl will say "HOLY **** ITS A PORSCHE GT2 YOO!!!!" now Someone like me will throw a brick at the car and beat the **** out of that poser not before peeing on him for putting the Badge on.... Just Joking... or am I.... 6/10 times ppl think my 996 C4S is a "TURBO" even after reading the back where it says CARRERA 4S. (and no 4S Does not stand for "Four Seater", yes i got that once) Sometimes i get a "Oh Its Only A 4S"....

POST 9Original post

So, did that used to be a 996 turbo? I'm not familiar with these guys, what's the deal? Edit: Okay, I see... am I correct in that they pimped up a C2 to turn it into that monstrosity?

"Why pay $280,000.00 for a 2008 GT2 when you can have this identical one for $89,999.00 " Bwahahahahahaha -td

True, that is one perspective. It's no different from owning a fake Rolex - looks nice, but doesn't have the precision and performance of the original - all show and no action. Honestly, I'd prefer to own the original than a sad copy.

POST 20Original post

Love the last parapgraph of 'Terms and Conditions' They sound like a real fun-loving bunch. Best of luck with that guys.

POST 21Original post

It's the "Real Thing" alright. It this the New Coke? I think it would be fun to get in a road race with one of these Wicked things and beat them sorely,--"Hey, I beat a GT2!!"

POST 22Original post

These guys are financial genius and should be in charge of the future of the US economy just by reading their last sentence on their following marketing kool-aid: "Why pay $280,000.00 for a 2008 GT2 when you can have this identical one for $89,999.00 and save nearly $200K? You have the New Generation 2008 GT2 Body Style, you have the Twin Turbo Power, you have the custom 3-pc Wheels, you have the customized Interior color accents and you have an extra $200K in the bank. And when you go to eventually sell your 2008 GT2 in a few years, you will lose half of what you paid ($140K), but when you go to sell this identical vehicle, you will get all your money back. "- Let me go wreck my car, have these guys fix it with "carbon-fiber-bondo" and band-aids, and make a profit.... Brilliant!

POST 23Original post

It says right in the ad that its built from a 2003 turbo. Anyone who falls for this got what they deserved.
