Hello all,
I have found a Techart Third Radiator kit and had the seller send me the installation instructions but am still unsure if it will work with my "04 C4S TipS. I went to the ECS page and found their third radiator kit. The ECS kit ties into the water cooling system while the Techart kit is an oil cooler with the feed ansd return lines running down the center tunnel. This would increase oil capacity which would be a good thing and directly cool the oil but without a pump I am unsure of the amount of oil circulation. Anybody here use this Techart kit? If so opinion of it? TIA.
Totally different thing. The ECS kit is for the water cooling system. The only similarity is where they're (Techart) mounting the extra oil cooler. Seems like a great idea if oil temps are your problem...
Reading the install instructions there are a couple of differences in 6 speed tranny vs. the tip. Mainly both lines are the same length in the tip kit. The kit installs a diverter plate between the engine and the oil cooler atop the engine. One thing I am fuzzy on it this kit would work on a Mk II engine. I have many things on the wish list, but I need to decide if I am going to stay in the 996 or pick up a 968 that has caught my eye.
