Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So after pulling my car out of storage, the wheel felt like the clockspring assy was unravling or one of the wires was getting in the way. The car is still drivable, but my consern is with the airbag plug. if that wire is caught and yanks the plug out: 1) does the airbag go off in my face? That would suck...and hurt. 2) what is the likelyhood of that clip comming out in thefirst place, it feels like its pretty secure. 3) why are clockspring assemblies so pricey :'( i have appointments with various shops that can't wait for me to disassemble the wheel and look for a fix this week.

POST 2Original post

What wheel do you have? Is there anything on my old four spoke and airbag that would help you?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i have the same bag/wheel, but thanks anyway Bruce. it's the piece behind the wheel that is likely causing problems as it is a needlessly complicated piece that only a German engineer could have concocted.
