Greetings all... It's been a little over 2 years since I was in my old silver '99 996. For those who do not remember, I had a wee bit of a headroom problem with my helmet. Now, I knew non-sunroof 996's were out there, but I have never seen any (other than GT3's). Until now. I will be purchasing Screameleon's white Carrera this Saturday and driving her home. I cannot tell you how freakin excited I am. This car is TRULY my dream car. I have waited a LONG time to find the right car. And, in 6 years of looking this is only 1 of 2 cars that I personally have ever seen for sale with no sunroof. I am sooooo grateful to have the opportunity to be back in a proper Porsche. C.

Congrats, Glad to see you back in a 996! IMO that's one of the more beautiful cars on the entire board... Andy

Yup...after my dad passed both the M3 and 996 were on the market...Thankfully I was able to work through all of that and keep both cars. I'm guessing that the new ride will get pleanty of track time, maybe we'll see you at VIR next year! Andy
Congratulations. What a fantastic car. It was ironic that I just got my 99 Aero a few days before this went on sale, otherwise I would have made an offer for it. Absolutely stunning car! Enjoy it in good health, Pete
Maybe...not in the immediate future, but some. I need to work a couple things through first. (the mod list is building). C.

I'm not a fan of the Taco wing, but in white, with the black wheels, it makes the car look more like a beautiful sculpture! Congrats!

geez...while i'm not too fond of white cars...the white GT3's and other decked out 996's really are stunning. I'd hit that. J
Congrats! You still have the M3?
Sold the M3 in Dec last year to start my business. This year has been fantastic. So much so, my wife pulled me aside a few weeks ago and said..."you need to be in a Porsche again. You deserve it." God I love her. FWIW - Here's the M3 in street trim: And in track trim: And then me at my last DE hauling azz last Sept (Passing a bunch of Porsches....sorry ) : C.
Chad...glad that you are back on the forums and that this car stayed in the family . The white and balck contrast complimented with the aero package makes it a unique car. I also waited for the right opportunity and after a 2 year seach became a 996 owner. It makes the moment more gratifying when all the stars align. Enjoy it

Welcome back and congratulations on a gorgeous p-car!
Chad that's a FINE example of a 996 you have there... congrats!!
There is something about a white 911, it just looks right! Nice ride.
Would you happen to know if that was Dans (vividracing) old 996?
Nope. Buying it from a very nice dood in the DC area. C.
This is the one Chad got https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=54027 http://www.simplysirius.com/porsche_996.htm

Oh man Riff, I miss that track. Putnam Park is one of my very favorite tracks. thanks... C.
chad i remember i was interested in buying your car way back when. you're picking up an even better looking car with them pretty 19s even if they are made by iForged. welcome back, bud! you and i have the same eye for 911s i believe.
Sorry mang, those iForged are up going to be up for sale the second they get home. Proper 18's are going on her. C.
don't be sorry for me,you're the one holding the iFuqs
I see nothing has changed. While I am sure you are trying to be funny.....Ben,...seriously ...if you can't say anything nice...simply don't say it. C.
Will you seriously be selling the 19" wheels off the new white car? If so, please PM me about the price. I am very interested. Thanks

Well Chad, it sure didn't take you long to catch on to Ben! For some reason he thinks that crap is cool, neat, and/or acceptable! I think sometimes he forgets to take his meds.

welcome back. now you have head room. hope you lost a few pounds so you can fit in a sparco evo2 just kidding. how did the m3 treat you? nice find on the sunroof delete 996.
Karlooz bud, how are ya?! Thanks, M3 did great till the VANOS decided to self destruct. Ugh.. I do need to lose a few pounds. C.
Chad, How tall are you? I'm 6'3", and I'm thinking that it would be a really tight squeeze for my noggin and a helmet inside my C4S, unless I rake the seat back way too far.
Well, if I may be so bold, maybe I can answer that for Chad. It's not just the fact that he is tall, it's just that... well.... he has a big head. How big you ask? Well, do you remember the Jack in the Box commercial from a few years back when Jack is watching his son play football? Well, Chad uses that football hemlet on track days! Sorry Chad - just having a little fun!

Ben, you really don't get it do you? Either that or you conveniently forget the crap you say in some of your one liners like "don't be sorry for me,you're the one holding the iFuqs " Totally unnecessary! I suggest you go back and read some of your bull**** posts and then decide if you really want to start to contribute here or just remain a Troll!

instead of yapping about it like a school girl and calling people internet bad names, why don't you get a t-shirt with a big R on it and tell yourself you're He-Man master of the Porsche universe, defender of trollkind? in all seriousness, i told chad congrats, complimented him on the car, but he and I and others know how ****ty iForged wheels are. he's getting rid of the wheels so how was that a jab at all? seriously man i think getting rid of the porsche is making you even more sensitive than before. it's like you lost a nut.

6'6" Thankfully I am rather equal in dimensions. So I fit rather well in many sports cars. Even with custom seat and brackets, the sunroof coupes gave me a headache. More to come. C.
