Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am wondering if I can make a 996 TT stock spoiler fit my 996 C2. Anyone do this before? I love the look of this spoiler, but can't figure out if the roof / fender lines are the same (or similar enough) to make it work on my C2. Thoughts and suggestions would be most appreciated. Best regards, Casey

POST 2Original post

It has been done before. It requires quite a bit of modification of the TT deck lid by cutting it. It's too wide and too long to fit the C2. The only one that I have seen posted here didn't look good. Once the cuts were made, the lines the TT deck lid didn't match the lines of the tail lights and it looked off. Your best bet if you like that look is probably to find an aftermarket spoiler that looks similar but is designed to fit the C2.

I've seen the whole deck lid style, but this one is just the wing...

WHICH One did you see on here?

Not sure who did it... I don't remember the name. It was an installation of a 996 TT deck lid and spoiler on a NB 996.

How do you plan to attach it?

Yup. That's the one. I think it looks bad, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

POST 11Original post

Not a Turbo wing, but very tasteful on a 996. https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...rear-wing.html

POST 13Original post

Remember that when you start modifying the aerodynamics (lift and drag) on the rear of the car, you need to do some work on the front of the car to compensate. Just slapping on a wing can create serious issues at higher speeds.

POST 14Original post

Not a fan of wings on street cars...Duck bill I could live with but I still like the 911's lines with no wing!
