I have an 03 C2 with the stock front bumper but am thinking of upgrading. I can't get anything too low to the ground since I have PSS9's and the car is lowered. The front rubs slightly when pulling out of my driveway. There are a lot of choices, some with some subtle variations. What's your favorite? Include pics if possible. Edited to add pics

POST 2Original post

u will need to post your pic, sooner or later,,,,,,

POST 3Original post

Yeah lets see that car man! BTW I personally like the MKI GT3 bumper and if done correctly the 997 version is cool! But I drive an MKI. For your year the MKII GT3 and turbo are very nice options!

Extremely long thread on this in July. I know it was before you joined, but searching the 996 forum for the word "bumper" in the title turned this gem up in less than .2 seconds... LOTS of pics. Seems to have all the info you were looking for. https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ghlight=bumper Oh, I'm on DAFS patrol today. -td

TD - I'm glad you are on DAFS! patrol this evening. Could you also take over "Pic Patrol" beginning at 8:30? I need to watch the Cowboys take on Buffalo!

POST 7Original post

Get the MK2 GT3 front.. It will fit perfectly on your car and look good.

"Take on" buffalo? I'm sure by half time you'll be surfing Renn again -tom

POST 9Original post

gota911...... the bumperplugs are not the matching color

POST 11Original post

I'd take those bumperplugs any day! Besides, Dallas is going to cream Buffalo.

OK, back on the real topic. I agree with MechanicalEng ^ get teh GT3 MKII bumper. It would look great on your car. You already have the matching side skirts. Check out the 5th pic in this link. GT3 Front Bumper

prefer the two tone look myself

POST 14Original post

Here it is. Just leave the plastic lower balck lip off to stop the rubbing on your driveway like this. I have put it on mine now though.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So the GT3 MKII would mate best with what I've got now, I can see that. It's really not too different from what's there currently, but it's that or I end up with a hodge podge look if I go with something else. Maybe I could add the matching wing later. You can only buy what you can buy when you can buy it after all.

POST 17Original post

Quotes source post: 4654656

There is a GT3 wing for sale now. You may want to snap it up now 'cuz they don't come up for sale too often. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/383224-got-extra-parts-with-the-car-gt3-wing.html

POST 18Original post

Someone predicted the game wrong, btw that's a roof rack not a bumper!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4654863

Is that the right wing for an '03? I'm still tired, head spinning from that game last night. I've never seen anything like it!

POST 21Original post

Must be Litronics...I know that I would see those from far away....

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 4655588

No that wing is the Aero I wing for '99~'01...not sure if it will fit an '03 but then it is not the correct one for it so I wouldn't do it. So go for the complete Aero II front bumper IMHO and rear bumper and wing if you want.

POST 23Original post

Quotes source post: 4655588

No, it is a MK I wing. I forgot you have an '03 (MK II) car.

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There is a CF GT3 bumper on ebay. I've done some searching here and can't find any discussion other than in passing of a CF bumper. They're all either poly or fiberglass. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...spagenameZWDVW

POST 25Original post

Here's a pic of mine - of course it's my favorite...

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I like your car Every. Mine will look similar when finished.

It will fit an 03 and I seriously considered the taco wing for my car but could not find one at the time. The only problem is the sharper lines of the Mk II bumper and side skirts conflict a little with the rounder taco wing. I can live with it but some may think it's a little off?

POST 28Original post

Quotes source post: 4663524

Steven - I am not sure you got that phrase correct. I think it should read "... some may think I'm a little off?" How's the leg? I haven't "seen" you around here much lately. Hope all is well with you and the family.

POST 29Original post

Every day, That' s a GT3 cup bumper right ? Is it a repor or factory ? Where did you buy from ? I've been thinking about it fo a while too, that GT3 RS look is nice, but the cup version has an opening for the tow hook...

POST 30Original post

Quotes source post: 4663600

Tim, I knew you would catch that one...bada, boom! Leg is much better and I am running again but still doesn't look too great. I quit looking at it but the women at the track last weekend were still freaked out. Thanks for asking. We are in racing season now with one a month and still gathering parts for the new Alfa and a lot of work so things are hopping I am still hanging around but miss a day or two at a time. I should win B Sedan again this year making it 2 in a row Not as easy as it might seem.

POST 31Original post

deckman - thanks, i'm very pleased with it greg d - it's from a local shop that does a fair amount of racing - http://www.gmgracing.com/tuning.shtml - they have an option available for people who don't want the tow hook too

I'll be corrected if wrong, but I understand poly is less prone to cracking and mis-shaping over time, but also costs more. I'd still like to get opinions on the idea of a carbon fiber bumper like the one I placed a link to on page 2.
