Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey Guys, last week i was lucky enough to get hold of a GT3 for a day. I was expecting it to be pretty good but it just blew me away. What an amazing car!! I've done a short video of the drive and my thoughts, hope you enjoy it!! Click here to see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dz77...93991350257046

POST 2Original post

Underrated huh? I thought the space shuttle was the most underrated vehicle used to break out of earths atmosphere. Oh and did you know Goodyear makes tires?

I believe Mr. Kim (#III) has the ****ty spacecraft market completely sewn up. I wonder if diminished value claims are legal in PDRK...

POST 4Original post

Congratulations on the new to you car!! Don't know about underrated since everything is relative, but it is indeed one of the best of the 996 line.

POST 5Original post

Yeah I never would have considered it being underrated. If anything most of the reviews had a statement in them like this, "Although the rest of the 996 line is crap, there's this limited edition that is everything you would ever want in a street car made for the track. This thing is the ultimate driver's car!"

Toilet paper is over rated, I got my hands on a bidet for a day and let me tell you, if you are still wiping your @ss, then you are living in the stone age

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys... I merely meant that financially at least until very recently they were the runt of the GT3 line. By far the cheapest GT car from Porche, a poor man's GT3 I guess. So underrated by the markets, sorry if I give the impression people thought they were crap! Reviews have always been postive

You touched a bidet? You mean you don't have a **** boy? Pleb. You Tube

POST 9Original post

I've always been a fan of the 996 GT3 and would consider one down the line; those headlights just don't do it for me for the money I'd have to pay.

POST 10Original post

this is like donald trump saying it's surprisingly hard work to be president, and that reforming health care is really complicated who knew????????????

There is literally no one who has underrated the 6GT3. Technically, it's been properly rated, IMHO, for all intensive purposes.

I like mine. Cheesey interior and challenging headlight design included.

POST 13Original post

Just not a fan of the aero kit, and without a helmet the roll bar is a health hazard.

POST 14Original post

Nice video and thanks for posting. Now you have me interested in 996 MK1 gt3s. I wonder how much it would cost to buy one in Europe and import it. Anyone have any experience with this?

It's the cheapest GT3 out there.. for that reason i said it was underrated, not that people did not give it positive reviews. In any case I really loved this car. It's just so good to drive, I dread to think how great the more modern stuff must be as well! I dont mind the fried egg headlights and prefer them to the ones that came later on with the Mk2 GT3 ! Thanks all those that watched the video!!

POST 16Original post

I love my GT3 (one of 252 built in early 2005 before they rolled to the 997 look) I really enjoy my '03 996, but this beast takes you to an entirely higher level of OHMYGODDD even on short blasts around the neighborhood.

MK1 GT3 wasn't available here in the states, so there really isn't a big following in the US. We didn't get the 996 GT3 RS at all. MK2 had updates to the aero (bye-bye taco wing), the face (headlights), the engine (355 in the .1, 380 in the .2) and brakes (4-pot vs 6-pot) (among other minor things). The best things about the GT3 is the 8200 redline. If you only drive it to 6 or 7K, you are missing out. The howl at 8000 is second to none! I'm not sure what 6.1 GT3's are going for across the pond, but 6.2 can be from US $60K-$90K. -td

POST 19Original post

I'm not sure when they put traction control on them but the 996GT3's w/o PSM are phenomenal cars.

POST 21Original post

Agreed, mine does not have the Please Save Me button, not does it need it. Those Porsche engineers are clever bastards. The howl at 8k is worth the price of admission.

POST 23Original post

If I would have "known" what i "know" now.. I would have sold a few other vehicles to justify a Mezger motor'ed car.. just sayin'. I'm happy with my 996 all the same.

I hear people say that but don't understand how it can be a hazard if you are belted in properly to begin with? Since the roll bar is behind the seats and you have high seatbacks then how could it pose a danger to you when the only thing your head can slam into is the seat itself? Am I missing something?
