Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just thought I would post this just in case anyone might be interested. I bid on it but didn't won't my second Porsche to bought blindfolded all the way from California. May be good for someone in that state though. Here's The Link To The Listing. 2002 Porsche: 911

POST 2Original post

John - Welcome to Rennlist. Good luck on your search! Tell us a little about your "1st Porsche." Oh, and pics would be nice, too!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll have to find the pics. It was a 1986 944 Turbo, that was built and modified by Brown and Harding Racing and Turbo Air out of Mooresville, NC. It would absolutely haul butt. Of course it was red with black Fuchs wheels. I will get some pics.

POST 4Original post

The only part of a GT2 body kit is the badge. That will fool NO ONE that knows Porsches.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

From what I could tell it only appears to be an Aero Kit if I am not mistaking......

POST 6Original post

That 911 is to a GT2 what McDonalds is to gourmet food.

POST 7Original post

Agree with judd, although it is a very nice 996, and would be a great first specimen. If you do continue bidding make sure you have a Porsche mechanic check it out! Welcome BTW and good luck!

POST 8Original post

Throwing a "GT2" badge on a base C2 is criminal. The perpetrator should be disqualified from future P-car ownership.

POST 9Original post

Assuming it's an 02 they put a MKI wing on it (correct for 99-01 cars I believe) with MKII side skirts. I can't tell from the pics what front bumper it has....

POST 10Original post

Damn and I was in Fresno this past weekend too at the CDF, I didn't see any Porsche's there (I don't count Boxster's ). Yep a MKI wing with MKII sides and a ? front bumper and the ridiculous 'wanna-be' GT2 emblem (easily removed though). Looks like it might go for a good price though

POST 11Original post

Nothing GT2 about that car except the emblem.

POST 12Original post

Gee I hope the new owner is able to remove that GT2 badge without leaving a mark. That is stretching the def'n of a bodykit. BTW - Judd. This may sound very Canadian of me, but your avatar is offensive. Thought we were all friends here?
