Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A week or so ago a post was made showing the below. Have always liked the Carrera script on the sides of P cars since way back. Got me thinking about doing the same to my 996 Cab. So, thought a poll might be in order... The Seal Grey Metallic is mine, the yellow cab has the Carrera script like I am considering. Note that I have added AeroKit II side skirts and a TechArt rear spoiler since the picture below was taken. Will post pics of it later today.

POST 2Original post

Hi....great idea...but without having a body kit or side skirts...I just don't think it will look right. It will look, well.....just wrong. J

See my original post, installed Aerokit II (like the ones in the pic below) yesterday along with a TechArt rear spoiler and an '03 GT2 front spoiler lip. Will post pics later after I get her washed...

POST 4Original post

Oops...sorry....didn't read thru I guess....yeah...would love to see pix first! Also....get rid of those pumkins up front!! LOL. J

POST 5Original post

I think it looks fantastic on the yellow with black rims... may not be crazy about it on the Seal Grey... but who cares what I think.

POST 6Original post

I personally wouldn't do it as i think it belongs on the air cooled 9's. This is what makes America beautiful, do your thing!

If by pumpkins you mean the hideous orange side markers, already gone! Just finishing washing her, will post pics shortly... Only other thing I am waiting on is newly painted front bumper (OEM). Decided to go with OEM front bumper due to A. Cost of aftermarket or OEM that are urethane B. Non urethane ones (i.e. fiberglass or similar) are a crap shoot on fitment C. See A and B

Well I, for one, certainly don't!

How, may I ask, are you posting to this thread while "finishing washing your car". Is it creeping through the conveyor belt at Dannys Family while you type away......

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4644149

ROFL... Had actually already finished washing it. Just had some detailing to do... Here are the pics! You can see the front spoiler/lip pretty well in the above.

POST 11Original post

Fantastic....cars looks amazing. Gorgeous. However, I'm not too sure how the script will look. I know someone will photoshop it on your car so you will have a good idea of how it will appear....right Tim? LOL. I agree that it does look great with brighter colors and black wheels...hence the 997 gt3-rs and the like. Sit back while some of the others have fun with your pictures. J

GREAT IDEA! I am barely funcitonal at photoshop so if anyone here could do there magic it would be greatly appreciated!

POST 13Original post

I say don't do it. Even though I have a Yellow car I am not going to do it either...too much advertising IMHO and un-necessary unless it came from the factory that way.

POST 14Original post

Uh......... no. I would have voted for NFW if there was a box for it in the poll.

POST 15Original post

Ok, here is a "quick and dirty" example. Not real good, but you get the idea.

POST 16Original post

I think you need more dramatic rims and wing to pull it off correctly.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4644702

OK, what rims would you suggest? Wing? Just installed the one that is on it now... Not dramatic enough?

POST 18Original post

One thing I like about my P is the absence of exterior markings. And I don't care what Riad says either.

POST 19Original post

I agree that different wheels (and perhaps lowering) are needed to pull off the sticker. Stefan

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Votes are in... After seeing the photoshop I am going to forgo this idea... Thanks to one and all!

ROFL! Posters here are nowhere near as vicious as the other forum I used to to frequent, http://www.twinturbo.net
