Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Repli...spagenameZWDVW No affiliation, just thought it was, well, kinda funny. -td

POST 3Original post

Outside of the mere fact that it is just plain gross, I can not conceive that fact that someone out there invested the amount of funding to complete that process. I would be more than happy to run that thing smooth over with my home depot mobile.

POST 4Original post

I'll probably get crucified for this but I kinda like it. In particular the entire front end treatment (bumper, lights, overall shape) looks better than most of the factory options that have come out of Zuffenhausen. From the side it could almost be a better looking Cayman. But strangely the 3/4 angles at the rear look absolutely terrible with the roof panel on. For some reason the proportions are just ugly from that view. Hard to tell from the photos alone but the kit looks like it was put together and finished with a fairly high attention to detail. With some refinements Porsche would sell tons of these. Edit to add: my biggest gripe is that they slapped a "carrera GT" badge on the back.

POST 6Original post

Oh good, it's still hasn't sold!! That is going to be my next car after I sell the 996! Seriously, I agree with K996. Based upon what I can tell from the pics, they actually did a pretty good job with the fit & design. I don't like the Carrera GT logo on it either. Mayne "Baby GT" would be better. I would not buy it but it is interesting.

POST 10Original post

why??...hopefully it was a totaled boxster before they took the knife to it

"TOOK 3RD PLACE IN PORSCHE SPEEDSTER CATAGORY AT THE 2006 KNOTTS BERRY FARM ANNUAL HANDCRAFTED AUTOMOTIBILE SHOW, SO IF YOU HAVE GONE TO THIS SHOW, YOU ALREADY HAVE SEEN IT IN ACTION. " I don't know what the hell the Knotts Berry Farm annual handcrafted automotbile show is, but it must have only had 3 cars in the "Porsche speedster catagory."

And a manual transmission.

POST 15Original post

Wow nothing here but 'mini-CGT's' and they both are not appealing to me at all. The second one is the best of the two and I love the engine access with the conversion, but I still would not want either.

POST 16Original post

Its not gonna get you any respect from the P community, but it looks GREAT!

POST 17Original post

the replica doesnt look bad- the other one is nasty

POST 18Original post

I like the second one. I agree that the first one looks ugly from the 3/4 angle view. Not sure why either. Either way, both cars are fairly creative. Not sure I'd waste money on either of them though... $70K for a Boxster you have to be insane.

Exactly my thoughts! Especially with the badge. And if you're going to go RUF crazy, give it some *****, power wise.
