I had also just changed the battery, even wasting (?) the extra money on a factory replacement.

There are hints in some of the posts that the two are related somehow, but I never saw a coolant light; it just needed changing, along with every other fluid.

I had just changed the coolant; could that have had anything to do with this particular code?

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, I decided to start driving my '02 C4S, currently showing less than 15K miles, after some flood waters got into my garage, but happily not in the car itself. Less than one inch of flood water, plus an opening in the driver's side window for the battery booster wire, combined for a lot of mold, in an attractive shade of green. Once I got the mold out, here comes the engine light, naturally. It shows two codes: P0445, a "major leak" in the gas tank vent system, which seems to be sufficently covered elsewhere in this forum; and... P1675, Purge fan fault, mentioned here a few times, but without any suggestions except maybe get a new fan. I had just changed the coolant; could that have had anything to do with this particular code? There are hints in some of the posts that the two are related somehow, but I never saw a coolant light; it just needed changing, along with every other fluid. I had also just changed the battery, even wasting (?) the extra money on a factory replacement. Any ideas on the 1675 code would be greatly appreciated.
