I researched the problem of a reverse switch not working and was going to order it on Pelican Parts. But after reading the description, it states: "Reverse Light Switches This is the switch that is located inside the transmission. When you put the car in reverse, this switch signals the rear back-up light to turn on. If the switch works intermittently, the pin inside the transmission may be worn." So is the problem with a part in the transmission or is it the switch? Does the "pin" come with the switch? Is that what is the silver **** on the top of the switch? Any help would be great. I've found the DIY on changing it in Renn Tech But I don't want to waste my time if it's another part. Thanks

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Its the switch. The "pin" they're referring to is the silver ****, which sits inside the transmission when its installed.
Thanks. I'll order the switch.
