Awww...Come on...
Ummm, it looks like a 997TT and a C-GT had sex in an orange grove and this is the offspring! About the only part I like is the retro hood and the front bumper cover. Everything else is rather contrived, especially the rear wing.... that thing is not only fugly..... it's butt fugly!
That is one bad (*&*^%*$^& machine. I could see that in my garage if someone was willing to foot the note to buy it. Not sure I would ever get her out in the snow though.
Me no likey. Way too conspicuous. I would have to invest in a Mr. T starter kit and real bad rug for my bald head before I could be seen in that.
Less is more.....and that Gembala 997 Turbo is too much.
That car is sick!!! Not ugly at all IMO. But I like the obnoxious. Its all about driving something that looks like it shouldn't be on the street.......
Usually not my cup of tea but I have to say they did a nice job... not so sure about the pumpkin interior but the styling looks really nice.
Needs a bigger wing....NOT!...I also like the front end and hood.
LOL! The last thing it needs is a bigger wing, maybe a bit smaller......
The Avalanche has always been about over-the-top excess. It takes a certain type to buy it - and by "certain type" I mean rich dude that likes attention. I think this version looks pretty cool, but I don't need that much attention.
btw thats a 996 facelifted...not a 997
That's so rice... err I meant nice.

997...look at the line of the rear quarter panel above the bumper.
I thought it was a 997 as well, but someone pointed out the interior dash, which is obviously a 996's. That's why I think it's a very high quality conversion, it's hard to tell from the exterior.
put on a GT2 wing and it would look very nice...I'm not feeling the existing wing.
Very subtle,almost stealthy !
I really like the side of the car. The air intake on the quarter panel flows much more nicely than the stock 996. Wheels are nice too. The color is too much and the wing is a joke. Also, the exhausts look like they came of of a Maserati MC12--very ricey. But you can't argue with the execution--I guess the fact that everyone mistook it for a real 997 attests to that. Impressive workmanship, to say the least.
I've got to admit that I don't like much of Gemballa's styling, but the avalanche is almost as good as a wet dream involving Angelina Jolie. I've had these photos in my desktop photo folder for a while and still never tire of them.
I dont like the spoiler at all or the fuzzy looking dash or the wire mess rear but other than that its ok. Cool color.

+1 I think it looks terrible, way way too much!!!

Redridge is correct, it is a 996. Take another look at the interior pic, which shows a 996 interior.
I love the colour a lot and the finished look. The rear wing is OK except for those intake holes on it which seem to be functional but it also has air intake on the rear deck already and sides of the car. The interior is over the top IMHO and they went that far with it but did not get seats that have painted backs. Not into branding cars with names that much, I mean it is a Porsche Carrera, so 'avalanche' makes it sound like an SUV So move the steering wheel to the left (although I am from England and so it is on the correct side for me), and what is the price?
IMO a GT2 wing would make it perfect..... But then it would have a GT2 wing and they couldn't call it gemballa!

That's exactly what I was thinking. It has to be unique. And I think, although a little too much, the wing is appropriate for that wild and aggressive look.

Yeah, I breezed past the interior pictures. That's a lot of work for a 996.
It woulda been cool if it was based on an actual 997 turbo. FAKE!!!

at least its not made by wicked: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...QQcmdZViewItem

True but Gemballa should have access to a 997 turbo to base the car off of. I'd expect crap from wicked but not from Gemballa.

True dat
Anyone notice what looks like a top mounted intercooler? I'm wondering if they've turbo'd a 996 and put a 964 style intercooler on it? That would certainly make the wing a lot more 'reasonable'. While it isn't my cup of tea, it certainly is nicely executed. I think the thing that puts it too far out there for me is the interior color.
It's funny how some have picked on the interior color. Personally, i think it adds to the overall style of the car. I have to admit that I've always been partial to a bit of orange.
Remove the rear wing and tone down the interior and I love it. I would love to have my 996TT look like that in Midnight Blue. Infinately better looking than the "fang" front bumper sold by Tech Art.
i only like the engine........btw it's butt fugly.......
