Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, A few months ago my gem of a 99 996 was totaled (someone else's fault). I've just recently completed physical therapy and have started to actively look at a replacement car. After driving a couple samples, I have found another 99 that is a possible candidate. It has a fresh motor and has some of the options that I want most, LSD in particular. This brings me to my question- I always thought option code 220 was the LSD code but after looking up a couple of code readers on the internet I see that 224 is automatic LSD (which the car that I'm looking at has) What is the difference? Thanks for the help, Pete

POST 3Original post

220 code option in 996 MkII series is mechanical LSD and must be chosen + 18" rims + M030 + PSM 22% traction 27% push

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, the car is a MK I 99 996 C2 manual (according to the option codes). Pete
