I've had a 2003 c4s tip for a couple of weeks (traded in my 1999 996) and noticed that if I rev up in park it seems to cut out at about 4000 rpm. Is this a normal restriction?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I don't have tip but I heard others talk about this. Of course someone will answer this better than I have So what did the dealer give for the 99?
24,750 for the 99, but I got the 2003 c4s for 52K, fully loaded with cpo, which I think is pretty good
you should left restrict yourself from reving the engine while not under load - i hear it's not good for the car and your 52K price means little if u don't give us how many miles and options and overall condition
why o why would you need to rev past 4k in neutral/park
