Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

52 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here's my new to me '03 Targa. https://rennlist.com/forums/attachme...d=185850&stc=1

POST 2Original post

A(n '03) targa with Twists? Color me confused! Winter wheels? Just like the look better? Hollow spokes? Nice car - if I had to do it over again, I'd love a targa!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Jim. Came with the car and I like em (plus they're easy to clean ). Thanks for the compliments.

POST 6Original post

Who's Jim? NP. I actually really like the Silver crest, too, while we're at it!

POST 7Original post

For someone who has only ever seen older Targas with their tops off, could you show me what a new style targa looks like when made as open as possible?

POST 8Original post

The glass roof just retracts under the rear window. So it doesn't lok any different except for teh large opening on top. BTW, one of my favorite things about the targa is the hatchback rear window. Nobody ever seems to mention that...

POST 9Original post

Oh, so that center piece doesn't pull completely out of the car?

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Justinmm2, oops sorry didn't have my glasses on when I typed that last reply. Redridge: 18inch 225/40 front and 18 inch285/30 rear (p-zero's) Hamilton; very very nice ride Targa brother! Marlinspike, here's pics with the top open from the outside (sorry, best angle I have, I'll try for a better angle this weekend) also looking up through the targa when closed, and through the open hatchback (which I love as it makes getting the clubs to the course much easier).

POST 12Original post

No, it just slides under the rear glass. It is motorized like a sun roof.

POST 13Original post

I tried to put up my pics but I'm still too new I think. Post count error message.

POST 15Original post

Ha! I didn't notice that the first time. How did that get past the DMV morailty police?

POST 17Original post

I just told them that it referred to fellatio. I got a blank stare and she processed the form.

POST 19Original post

Here's mine...new 19 inch carrera s wheels in black arrive new week.....

POST 21Original post

Anthink - the Targa looks GOOD in white! and I love your sport exhaust tips. Something I want to put on. As a teaser, my '02 Seal Gray Targa is getting detailed on Saturday. So let's keep this thread alive and I'll post pics, along with interior mods, when it's done.... Cheers Piccia

POST 24Original post

yup, +1 rep for you on the white.... oh wrong forum

POST 26Original post

Holy crap that picture is huge! I pulled it from my Imageshack account that is shown for 'forums'. So what did I mess up here?

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That pic makes me feel puney. Gotta edit it, all my pics were megasize too, had to edit em down. When you open the pic on your computer go to actual size to get an idea of what you have. Then look for resize to scale it down a bit. I'm not sure what editor you have but most will do those two things for you. If you're having trouble pm me and I'll see if we can work it out.

POST 28Original post

Here is mine. "Might" sell if fair offer is made.

POST 29Original post

Well I Geuss it is still mine, (remember I promised it to my son, this coming June) Here is one of my babies, 8 months an couonting for my 997 TT -

POST 31Original post

The irritating thing that I get when people will talk to me about the car is, "is that a convertible or sunroof?" Um, neither....it's a Targa top. "...a whaaat?"

POST 33Original post

Thanks. Some love it (I think it breaks up the sea of black rather nicely) while some hate it. I will miss this car if it sells.

POST 34Original post

don't pay no mind to the haters OEM CF is choice

POST 35Original post

I am waiting for Porsche to come out with a Cabriolet version of the Targa!

POST 36 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nice ride! How much of that interior did you modify yourself and where did you get the parts?

POST 38Original post

Here are a few shots of my targa..hope you enjoy. These are also the first pics since I had my new suspension installed. and couldn't help but post this one

POST 39Original post

MIke - the loweres stance on your car looks great!

POST 41Original post

Not to start a war or anything but do any of you 996 Targa owners actually like the 964 and earlier Targas better- that is from a visual sense only?

POST 44Original post

Some. All parts are OEM Porsche from Porsche dealers . . . My car was pretty loaded from the factory.

POST 45 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do I like em better, no. But I really do like em a lot!

POST 48 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nice, black is such a cool color.

POST 49Original post

Hi guys I can see that there are some targa with lower suspension Porsche Dealers don't offer M030 RoW as an optional. They say it will appear noises, rattles because of the heavier suspension. What suspension kit have you get installed?

POST 51Original post

Since the Targa population is here in this thread, I want to jack the thread long enough to get an answer to a question. The area of the roof forward of the glass top is made of what??? The thin strip. Mine came to me scratched and even though it looks like glass, I don't think that it is and want to correct the damage. Before attempting to buff the scratches out I would like to know what the material is. My toy is a 2003 model.
