Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, obviously I'm new here. I'm looking to buy an 03-04 C2 or C4s. What do you guys think of carmon red? See here for example: Thanks for looking!

POST 2Original post

This is a fairly uncommon color. It looks pretty good, wonder what it looks like in the sunlight though.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This is the best pic I could find:

POST 4Original post

hmmm kinda looks purple to me outside... deep red-purple burgandy inside.

POST 7Original post

I like that color, they made something similiar Aubergine which was my favorite..

POST 8Original post

Maybe it's just me, I think that red never link to exotic cars.

POST 9Original post

I've always liked the caremn red. If I bought a new one, it would definately be a contender.

POST 10Original post

An arena red owner here. Carmon red is similar but with a little more of a brownish tone to it. My friend has a cayman in Carmon red and I love it.

POST 11Original post

Had my 944 in a similar color. Very beautiful!

POST 12Original post

I like it. I've seen it on a C4S, looks great. BTW, C4S' are great.

POST 13Original post

Looks good on that car, but sometimes looks like dried blood in the shade.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for the input guys, it seems that most people like it, but I know it's not as safe a color for resale purposes. "dried blood"--nice...I'm not sure if that's good or bad (I'm thinking bad).

POST 18Original post

Guess where the name "arena red" came from.... Think Rome, 100 BC, gladiators...... The sand in the coliseum that was used to soak up the blood, took on that dark red color, hence Arena Red.

POST 19Original post

Nice Italy trivia there OE. I love that color - I had a poster of the 993 turbo in that color (or similar dark red/wine color) in my room at college.

POST 20Original post

Carmon Red is a very rich looking color. I like it a lot. It is relatively unique, and that alone makes it "special." I wouldn't worry about resale. All it takes is one person who likes it as much as you do.
