Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'd be willing to bet these people don't have their snows on.... http://www.king5.com/sharedcontent/V...andhomevid.wmv

POST 3Original post

I think it was in Denver. The footage is from either last week or the week before. From another video, that contained news commentary, it is indicated the area is on an incline and the street is solid ice with some snow on top.

POST 4Original post

I wonder if any of those cars had ABS brakes or would it matter?

POST 5Original post

it really looks like with snow covered ice. and neither winter tires nor ABS helps you on such surface. The winter tires would bind the snow but the car still slides on the ice and ABS would only keep the wheels unblocked but couldn't help to break the car.

That is definitely a bad day. Especially for the pinball SUV. Thank God for Arizona......

It was in Portland OR, just a few miles from my house. School teacher took the day off, kept hearing crashes so decided to video tape the street from the top of the building. Pretty cool footage but are news channels played in nonstop for days on end.
