Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just received my RoW M030 kit (from Suncoast) for my '99 C4. I noticed that the fronts did not have the wide black part that the bottom of the spring would sit or rest on. When I asked I was told that for the C4 that part is not included and must be reused from the old assembly. That part is included in the C2 kits. Does anyone know for sure if that is true or could I possibly be missing some parts? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

True, but I don't think it's black but a cast aluminum part. The new bumpstops you recieved go in the back. Just did mine in the fall.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here is how the RoW M030 looked for a '99 C4 coupe, manual. the front shock has a purple dot and no part included where the spring would sit on. The rear shock has a green dot. The front spring has a green dot near the top and lower near the bottom it has purple/white. The rear spring has a white dot near the top and near the bottom it has green/white. The front sway bar has a blue dot, the rear (the thicker bar) has green dot. Also there were the rear bumpstops, both sway bar bushings and two large washers that slide over the rear shocks.

POST 4Original post

It will be obvious when you disassemble the front strut that the spring perch is removable. It just sits on the top of the strut tube and clamped on. Good luck, E-mail me for my phone number if you want to discuss this. You do have to remove the axle nut (32MM) to do this I did not break the ball joint though. I have some more hints if you need them. Bought mine at Suncoast too, it's local for me.
