What's up with the Kinesis web site? http://www.kinesismotorsport.com/ I'm looking to get some new wheels, so I went to their site to have a look, and it's down. I think I'm either going to get the Carrera 5-spoke or the GT3 wheels. I just cracked one of my Sport Design rears on our lovely Los Angeles roads.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Get a set of Techart Formulas hehe. I must say the best rims on a 996 or 997 is the The Techart Formulas or F110 Kinesis. I might give slight edge to Tech
Sorry, but I really don't like those Techart wheels at all. My favourite are the Fikse profil 10, but I think they're too pricey.
Carrear 5-spoke are best bang for the buck... decently lighweight and look ok... I'd get the Champion RG5... super light - super strong and look nice... very fitting on a pcar... IMO.
I have the Champion RG5's on my car. They look good and are very light. Each wheel (including my 11 x 18 rears) is less than 20#'s.
Try wheel enhancement, they have Kinesis entire lineup. Click here
Dave at Wheel Enhancement told me that Kinesis was bought out. This could be the result of a slow web site migration.
Yeah, I've been using Wheel Enhancement since the day I bought my car new back in June of 2000. I've bought all my tires there too. I will definitely get my new wheels there. I think it's gonna be either the one piece Champion RG5s or the Carrera III 5 spokes.
Paul, what kinda mileage are you up to? Haven't seen you post in a while. Hope all is well
Kinesis was bought by Lexani (sp?). Not sure what the future direction is for Kinesis now as the two companies make drastically different wheels.
Almost at 99,000 now. I've been riding my motorcycle a lot to commute to work, so the mileage on my car hasn't been increasing as quickly as it used to.
I knew you had to be near 100K soon. Congrats on drving that car!!!
Hope they keep the two very distinctive. Hate to see Kinesis go into bling bling market.
Actually I believe that is exactly (and unfortunatly) what's going to happen. A buddy called Kinesis a few weeks ago (lexani reps answered the phone) looking to have a set of wheels made for his M5 and was told that they are no longer producing Kinesis wheels (as we know them) at this time and that he would have to look for a retailer that has current stock if he would like a current model as there were no plans for further production right now.
Thanks! You know, Porsche should throw a party every year for everyone in the "100K Club" and hand out commemorative plaques or something.
I'll see what I can do
And if something happens to a wheel, they won't be able to fix it.....
No more Kinesis! Man that is a shame, because the Kinesis F110 wheel is the top of the heap, the pick of the pack, the cream of the crop, the zenith, the ultimate after market wheel for a 996, IMO. Oh, and I kinda like them too!
