Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 02 carrera with 27k miles as far as I concern the brakes are fine, however everytime when I do a stop as I turn or under the traffic, the tires would slide a little bit, the car would not stop completely and always slide few inches, of course I meant only under emergency stop, even though the beemer I had was great on stopping under emergency, at least the car won't slide, do you guys think it's because of my tires or its the brakes, my right rear tire is wearing out, but all other 3 tires are in good condition, any suggestions?

POST 2Original post

My initial thoughts are ABS kicking in while on uneven pavement. If ABS kicks it and you have pavement changes you will experience the sliding effect.

POST 3Original post

I agree with Dell sounds like the abs kicking in, uneven pavement, sand, gravel etc could cause this.

POST 4Original post

Mine does that fairly frequently, i.e., premature abs activation. is it something i should bring it back to have its abs module up-graded, or just lousy tires (michelin PS2)

POST 5Original post

Won't the ABS or PSM light flash if that is the case? I LOVE to see my PSM light come on. That way I feel like I am actually driving it like it is meant to be driven. I don't dare switch that off though.
