In the market for a 2002 Cab... is Porsche Stability Management a standard feature on 2002 models? If not, how much should I care... do I really want/need PSM? Thanks!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Standard on the Turbo and C4S, optional on other 2002 MY variants. We ordered our C2 with PSM. Do you want it? Probably so, it's nice to know it's there, just in case. Do you need it? Only if you do. PSM won't re-write the laws of physics, but it may bail you out if you try to bend them. My vote is get it if you can.
PSM won't re-write the laws of physics, but it may bail you out if you try to bend them. My vote is get it if you can. I agree. Many of the posters on this forum have attended performance driving schools and track their cars regularly. PSM is unnecessary for this group. For those who don't have that kind of background, PSM enables you to drive your Porsche extremely hard without losing control. Ideally it's best to attend a performance driving school, and hone your newly aquired skills on a track. If you don't have the spare time for such activities, PSM is a must IMO.
Look at it like ABS. You don't need it, until you do. I'm not saying don't buy one without PSM. Lots of great new cars don't have it, and generations of Porsches did not have it. I'm saying it's better if you buy one that has it.
