Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looking to get 01 or new 996 cab in Polar Silver. Will consider 99-01 but needs to be special (i know, they all are). Thanks

POST 2Original post

Ah, a budding Polar Silver fan. It's a diamond in the rough. Good luck finding one.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've always been a big fan of the color. When I bought my 997 I was disappointed that the color was no longer available without going the custom color route.

POST 4Original post

OH997, What did you not like about the 997S? And for that matter, the 993 Cab?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The 997 was the best Porshce i've owned. I was at a weird place with my job and it was tough to have the car sitting for 6+months a year with the amount of money i had invested. As far as the 993 it was a great car but i was spoiled by the refinements that were part of the 996 and 997 so it made it more difficult to be a daily driver.

POST 6Original post

Hope the job situation has settled for you. I looked at a really nice 993 Cab when I was shopping for my current car. However being a tall driver, the additional interior room of the 996 Cab (due to the longer wheelbase) was a big factor for me, as well as the advanced climate control that a water cooled engine provides. And I liked the 996 convertible top more than the 993's, both when up and down. Good luck in your search. Polar is a great color.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What you learn about your job, and life in general for that matter, is that things are rarely as bad as they seem. Life is good, drive a porsche is my new motto.

POST 8Original post

Like nycebo, I've got a 2000 Polar Silver/Metropol Blue cab. But I'm also not selling. Good luck with your search; it is a great color.

POST 9Original post

POST 15Original post

I wasn't planning on selling my 2000 polar silver/metropol blue C4 Cab, but I might be persuaded.

POST 16Original post

As the owner of an Arctic Silver '99 Cab was Polar Silver a paint to sample option? when was it a standard color? Also what's different in it from A/S? Thanks, Nick

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Polar was an option and has more of a blue tint to it.

POST 18Original post
