Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Porsche enthusiast! When ignition is on, the seatbelt warning light doesn't light up. I am not sure if it has ever lit up as I have had this car since summer and haven't noticed that something can be wrong. Airbag warning light disappers shortly after ignition on and that seems to be a correct behavior. I assume that it can be a bulb, but I have seen some videos on YouTube which show exact mine car's thing. Is it possbile that seatbelt warning system was an option in that time and my car doesn't have it? Is there maybe a fuse for seatbelts? It is 996 C4 from 2001 with standard seats Thanks!

Key rotated to second position all warning lamps illuminate including seat belt. If you start engine and drive off do you hear the chime? If you do I would look at inop lamp, if not maybe seat belt annoyer disabled? When I take my seat out I'll disable mine.

Man I'm inclined to say congratulations... I always feel like mine is a little "extra."
