Anyone else got a G2Extreme logger and a 996? Looking if there is an OBD pin giving an RPM signal compatible with this device. Looks like it wants a square wave 5-18V, 50% duty cycle signal. Any ideas?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

From the wiring schematic it is: Pin 78 Signal for engine speed sensor white wire Pin 20 Signal (ground) for engine speed sensor Brown wire On the DME Not exactly sure if the signal transmitted falls under your requirement , you can hook up a Oscilloscope and find out, if you are in S. CA you can borrow my scope. I appoligize, after reading your question carefully I realized that you were looking for the pin on the OBD2 diagnostic plug? If I am not mistaken the data sent on the OBD2 is in serial form? One data bit after another from all different devices? i don't think there is a dedicated signal on the OBD2 port that gives you the engine speed.
There are 16 pins on an OBD connector, right? Where's pin 78?
Sorry I should have been more clear, I was reffering to the pins on the DME.
