Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I push down on left fender, I get a thump noise. The noise doesnt seem to be the strut, but a little bit more towards center. No noise when I bounce the right. Noise when I bounce in center towards the left side. Can an axle do that? Car drivers fine. thanks, David

POST 2Original post

There are lots of rubber bushings in both the suspension components and the sub-frame. There's no way to diagnose it on the forum. We can throw out theories all day long, but without putting it up on a lift (with the suspension loaded) or ramps, there's no way to pinpoint where the noise is coming from.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Agree, thanks for responding. I get on lift and see what I can find out. I'm hoping Sway bar bushing.

POST 4Original post

Struts mounts tend to go out with time on the C4S. Have them checked.
