Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

WOOO hit 100k miles on my car two weeks ago now im at 101000. no problems except for the MAF sensor that i had to replace. who ever said porsche's aren't reliable should get shoot...... or at least severly beaten

POST 2Original post

Congrats!!! Sounds like you've had about 100,000 smiles...

POST 3Original post

Nice...these 996's are proving to be more solid everyday.

POST 5Original post

Awesome! And I thought I drove alot hitting 60K recently. These cars are really bulletproof if they are taking car of and DRIVEN!!!! You seem to be a member of that club. Congrats

POST 7Original post

These cars are really bulletproof if they are taking car of and DRIVEN!!!! There's a lot of anecdotal info on this forum to support that conclusion. It seems that many of the 996s with lots of problems have very low miles. Maybe the 996 doesn't like being a garage queen.

POST 8Original post

Do you blame it? can't keep a thoroughbred caged up, it WILL revolt.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i drive my car extremely hard all the time (its a porsche no way would i drive it slow). and its not all highway miles either its stop and go. theses things are truly amazing. i have a quick question i just got a new set of tires and only the inside of the old ones was bald while the outside was fine (front tires only) do i have to go get my suspense fixed or is it fine.

POST 10Original post

sounds like you have more negative camber than you are using. do you have an aftermarket setup?

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

nope stock the only mods i have on it is the k&N aircharger thing that just came out and an aftermarket head unit

POST 12Original post

Sounds like a simple alignment check to figure out why the insides are wearing so quickly.

POST 14Original post

I agree. sounds like an alignment is in your future.

POST 15Original post

^^^What they said regarding the alignment...but act quickly or else you are in store for more new tires very soon.

POST 16Original post

Well yes lots...but mostly all with the orig. engine....since its been replaced, 40k miles trouble free....I think some of the 99's may have had some issues, but the engine updates and all the other updates seem to take care of all the little problems....I commute in my car 100 miles a day.....smiling all the way...lol...

POST 18Original post

I have 40K on my 2004 and my 2001 had 55k on it. Neither car had a major problem.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
