Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just saw the post from John D. Is anyone from the tri-state (NY/NJ/CT) area going? I was thinking about just attending the day event. It sounds great, "worlds largest porsche gathering." Nothing wrong about that! http://www.centralpaporsche.org/swap/index.html If there are people going, we can get a caravan going down there (nice drive) and then get some spots together (also, if people are coming from other parts we can arrage some sort of group section). Since there are rarely any meets, this would be a great oppurtunity to meet everyone. Just a thought.... So who's in?

POST 2Original post

Jon, I like your thinking. 180 miles from Manhattan ain't too bad. Plus, I gotta see and hear your car.

POST 3Original post

I am heading up, its not that far of a drive from Toronto, I look forward to meeting some of you. When it gets closer we should have a plan on meeting for dinner or drinks or both.

POST 5Original post

More than likely I'm in too... have to wait to see what's going on when the date gets closer.

POST 6Original post

I have attended in the past and will attend this year again, hopefully it doesnt get rained out.

POST 7Original post

hard to make commitment right now, but i am looking forward to it.

POST 8Original post

sounds tempting jon, but the april 9th meet @ king of prussia seems a little more doable considering its closer in date and distance!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys... Yeah, maybe we can touch base further into the month about this event. Maybe we can get a 996 section? hhmmmm As for the 4/9 event, James, are you in?? Should be an interesting drive....

POST 10Original post

Wouldn't mind taking that drive, trying to see if my cousin is down too.

POST 11Original post

Hey Guys, I am Travis from over on the 944 board. I am the one helping arrange the Rennlist banquet for Saturday night up at Hershey this year. I just wanted to let everyone, that didn't come last year, know that it is one of the highlights of the weekend. Last year we had over $2000 worth of door prizes donated by our sponsors that were given away at the banquet along with T-shirt and all kinds of other goodies. Everyone got something that came, all 60 + people. We don't have as much space this year as the group hotel and banquet are at a new location. If any of you are coming and want to go to the banquet, you should sign up asap. You can do it at the site we setup for this years event. http://members.rennlist.com/rennlistevents If anyone has questions about the Rennlist part of Hershey this year I will keep an eye on this thread and answer what I can. Thanks, Travis

POST 12Original post

Travis- I live in CT and would like to pop down to Hershey for the meet. I'm planning on coming with one of my sons (who is 13) who is into Porsches as well. We would come down Friday in time for dinner and probably leave late Staurday before the buffet. Is the Brew House an OK place for kids/families etc.? I'm assuming he and I could share a room at the hotel. Any other advice would be appreciated since I haven't been to one of these before (Breakfast at hotel? Get to the meet early Sat.? Where to park - Rennlist designated area? etc.). Thanks for all your hard work!! Chuck

POST 13Original post

The ABC should be fine for your son to attend on Friday. They serve more food than drinks, despite the name. Going to the swap, you want to be there as early as you can if you want to find any good deals on parts. If you are just coming to see everything, no need to be up at the crack of dawn. If we get enough interest together we can have a "Rennlist" section in the Porsche corral at the swap. If we do, you will see a sign pointing the way when you come in. If you can stay for the dinner banquet on Saturday night you should. Its a great chance to meet all the people (and even some venders) on here in a laid back setting. The door prize drawings are another great perk for the banquet on Saturday night as well. The whole weekend is a fun experience if you are coming for used parts or just to hang out with everyone.
