Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Might want to try the 996GT2 (second choice) forum or the 993 forum (first choice and where that car resides).
There is quite a bit of information on the 993 GT-2 and GT-2 Evos around. The road versions of the 993 GT-2s were producted in very limited (homologation models) numbers. They were not road legal in the USA consequently were not exported to the USA. Comfort models were exported to the SE Asia. If you find one it may be either a converted race car, converted from another 993 model or a conversion from an earlier 911. Something you have to be really careful of. Genuine road versions are like rocking horse pooh and very expensive. Ciao, Adrian.
http://www.qv500.com/porsche993p5.php 25 (??) built... hm. you might be better off getting a Turbo S
More than 25 993 GT-2s were built, if you read the last paragraph of this article and other sources of course. Only 345 993 Turbo Ss were built. In rareness they are not that far apart if you factor in the GT-2 race car numbers. However second hand prices are lower for the 993 Turbo S and they were exported to the USA. There is absoultely no comparison between a GT-2 and the Turbo S. The significantly heavier AWD Turbo S is no substitute for the performance of the RWD GT-2 or GT-2 Evo. Ciao, Adrian. PS: Brett have you ever driven any of these high performance Porsches that you are providing advice on?
