Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been lurking around now for a few months. Waiting waiting waiting to get my hands on this baby. I was able to finally make it happen and I am now the happy owner of this bad boy. I cannot wait to learn from all of you. I used to own a BMW E39 540ia with some slight mods and part of all the BMW Forums. I am excited to get to join a P-Car forum. Hopefully there will be some So Cal meets or GTGs soon so I can meet some of you in person.

POST 2Original post

Dude, that is one sexxy cab. WOW. I love everthing @ it. Those wheels are gorgeous. tell us MORE about the car. I am also craving more PICS!!!

POST 3Original post

Wow, that is a really sweet ride. Aero, sexy wheels, clear side markers, painted bumperettes, painted calipers ... truely one bad boy. Can I ask how much paid for the car?

POST 4Original post

Welcome and congrats on getting a VERY nice looking ride! BTW - Good job postin' the pics. You saved yourself from being hassled by the "Pic Police" (Dell and me!).

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you for the kind words....yeah I know my way around an online forum, which explains my knowledge on how to post pics. As stated I used to drive a BMW 540 so I was a member of several bimmer forums. As for more info on the car. Here is what I know. I bought it from a good friend that took major care of it...and ordered it very special and very expensive. First thing everything is from the factory and/or dealer installed. So the aero kit is factory. The wheels are 19" Champions. The brakes are not "painted" but the sports brakes on a S model. I have the stock calipers in a box. It has the "advance technic" package painted seat backs, crests on the headrest, painted center console, umm...Mille Miglia exhaust and a 6 DVD changer with a monitor inside. I am still learning about the mods. Best of all I know he took care of it. 2001 with 20K miles on it. How can I complain? well..as for the price...let's just say it was a "friendly" price that was very very fair.

POST 6Original post

He shoots, HE SCORES!! :thumbs up: Welcome to the level of forums where no one talks about the "kill" they got on the way home from work.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hahahaa..yeah the days of bragging about the mustang or the corvette I raced on my way home are long over. Age will do that to you I guess.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you Don, looks like you have a couple gems in your stable too. Loving the speedster!

POST 12Original post

Congrats on the ride! VERY nice!!! Thought your name looked familar... I'm a member of a few of the Bimmer forums. I currently have my 540, but in the market for a 996. Do you still have yours or did you unload it? I'd like to keep mine since it's paid for, but don't know if I can justify keeping it. If you did get rid of the 540 do you have any regrets yet??

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi Driver...yeah I sold it or basically traded up. I gave it to my friend who I bought the 996 from. He took my car in trade to let his wife tool around with the kids in and I took the Porsche. So he simply took the price down of the 996 for the BMW. So its basically in the "family" still. He basically did me a favor by taking my 540. I could not sell it. No one wanted a V8 with the gas prices etc. And the 20" rims are a "preferred mod." So.....no regrets yet. The BMW was definitely more comfy and quiet...but sitting in the 996 is like no other feeling. Hope you snag a p car soon and then we can compare notes. But you cannot really compare the two...apples and oranges my friend.

POST 15Original post

CONGRATS...and enjoy Hot looking car and just the right touch of mods. The silver against the red brake calipers sets it off nicely.

POST 16Original post

Phenomenal looking car - I'm right down the road in San Marino - we should get some local rennlisters together soon.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey wow a true neighbor! "When I grow up I want to live in San Marino too!" hahahaa... Yes a little SGV coffee run or something would be cool! I would be down for something small just to meet some folks.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you! Not too shabby yourself there...nice!

POST 20Original post

I moved to San Marino, but am still waiting to grow up I'm not in one of the fenced in estates, so we just have a traditional driveway. For a while, I had four cars and not enough room for all of them. We're not allowed to park in the street overnight, even as a resident, so I would have a string of nice cars in our driveway - it was a pain, so we sold one. I'm also 36, so I'm younger than most of our neighbors. Our next door neighbors have a girl in grade school, so she's brutally honest. One day she said, "my daddy says your either a car dealer or a drug dealer." I said, "tell him to come by if he wants to buy anything."

POST 21Original post

Now I know what I'm looking for. Beautiful car.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great story...hahaha....I am 33...so I have 3 years to move to San Marino as my goal. Definitely give me a shout the next time you feel like hanging around. Would love to meet up!
