Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not usually a fan of spoilers on the C4S, but most I've seen have been the factory aero or GT2 wings. Can anyone identify this one? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Techart ? https://www.vividracing.com/techart-...4-p-13414.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think that might be it! Does anyone have any more angles of this on a C4S?

I'm trying to like it, but am more interested in that rear window spoiler.

I believe is also a TechArt piece. My C2 has TechArt front bumperettes, sideskirts, "Wing I" and head light covers. https://www.vividracing.com/techart-...4-p-47331.html

You wouldn't want to go cheap on those rear window spoiler, the cheap plastic units warp in the sun very quickly. There is a reason the Techart costs more, they fit correctly and they last. I have seen one that was on a car for 10 years and it looked great, but they are pricey. https://www.vividracing.com/-p-47331...iABEgL_MvD_BwE

POST 9Original post

I love my C4S. But when i got it hated the fact that they have no wing. I looked for these types of wings and were impressed but couldnt see spending 5k. Lucky for me i found a turbo decklid on ebay in the same color for 1k. I would much rather have the wings with the C4S reflector but i am not about to drop that kinda money for it. Guess my car will stay with a fully functional turbo decklid until that magical day that i find a good used one.

POST 10Original post

I never understood the rear window spoiler. Is there a benefit to having one?

POST 11Original post

FWIW...I prefer the turbo spoiler to the "fixed wing"...

POST 12Original post

If anybody in the Northeast is in the market for a 996 turbo decklid and wing, let me know. This one has fixed height standoffs rather than the hydraulic or motorized lifting assemblies (although you can put them back on). I was going to adapt it to my carerra, but decided to stick with the stock decklid and it is sitting on the shelf collecting dust. I am not going to ship though (shipping it safely to me cost a small fortune).

Did you retain the reflector? Is there any way to do so? I love the turbo wing as well but could never get rid of the reflector, was the main reason I went for the C4S!

POST 14Original post

I think it is a tech art as well. I have one on my C4S that was on it when I purchased it. I really like the reflector as well and think the fixed wing looks great with it.

No. My rear end looks identical to a turbo now. Wish i could have retained it. I did keep the original decklid just in case though.
