Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

When I drive my 2002 40AE, the piece of trim where the vent for the windscreen demister creaks, anyone know how to remove it? so that I can clean it up and maybe fit a little felt to stop the creaking

POST 3Original post

You must remove the a pillar trims and the two side air vents then get a trim tool and pop it up just be careful not to break off the little tabs

POST 4Original post

Wow, you may have hyperacusis. I just ignore most sounds on these old cars. I'm even getting better at ignoring my wife when she complains about me going to fast.
